Town Meeting Celebration: Swimmers in the Dunk Tank!

Swimmers have been asking about it, and we finally have the dates set!

Help the Jersey Shore Swim Team raise money to support the team and the pool by volunteering your time in the dunk tank! Parents sign up and then swimmers can harass their friends and family until they want to spend cold, hard cash to DUNK THEM! Just ask a swimmer, for some a turn in the dunk tank is the highlight of the season!

We are looking for several swimmers each night to take 30 minute shifts. Last year the dunk tank brought in over $1,100. Let's beat that number this year! Parents - Typically we encourage swimmers to sign-up for the dunk tank, and by "signing up" you are volunteering your swimmer....BUT, if you would like to spend some time in the tank, just let us know!

Dunk-ees: Each shift in the tank is 30 mins long. Swimmers get creative in the tank, some bring floaties, some bring squirt guns to surprise the folks throwing the balls, and some of them just use their voices to entice people to try to dunk them (I am talking about you Taylor Watkins!).

Dunk Tank Booth Worker: We need at least two parents (or a parent and an older swimmer) to run the tank while the swimmers are getting dunked. Each Booth Worker shift is two hours. Primary responsibilities are money-taker, ball-chaser and seat re-setter (and maybe a little bit of heckling to stir up the crowd)!

If you think your swimmers would LOVE a turn in the dunk tank, sign up now. Spots fill up very quickly!

After I sign up, where do I go? The booth is usually located on the gravel parking lot in front of the middle school (Near the Cactus Tater stand). If you aren’t scheduled to be a dunk-ee, then help the team raise money by being a dunk-er! Come spend a few dollars dunking your friends!
